At the Next @ Acer global press conference, the company announced significant updates to four of the most popular gaming laptops: Predator Helios 700, Predator Helios 300, Predator Triton 300, and Nitro 7. The new models bring interesting updates, offering players from all categories upgrade options for incredible gaming experiences.
The notebook lines now include the latest Intel 10th generation processors for desktop performance that can be taken anywhere. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER or RTX 2070 SUPER graphics processors provide the performance you need to deliver fast, high-refresh displays for smooth images and viewing experiences, even in the most demanding AAA games. For operation at maximum parameters and optimum temperatures, Acer has equipped the new models with improved thermal design, with new cooling technologies and additional heat pipes.
Predator Helios 700 – A notebook that can replace the desktop
The Predator Helios 700, equipped with a sliding HyperDrift keyboard, has been upgraded to include either an overclockable Intel Core i9-10980HK 10th generation chip or i7-10875H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER or RTX 2070 SUPER graphics.
The thermal management capabilities of the device have been significantly improved with a new thermal solution called Predator PowerGem, included on models with the Intel Core i9 processor.
PowerGem is a special material with a thermal conductivity 3.83 times higher than copper and which improves the efficiency of the notebook’s heat emissions. All models include three copper heat pipes, Acer CoolBoost technology, and two Acer AeroBlade 3D generation 4 fans.
Additional upgrades for enhanced performance include a 2933 Hz memory (max 64 GB), an additional Thunderbolt 3 port, and the latest Killer DoubleShot Pro (Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i wireless and E3100G Ethernet). NVMe PCIe fast SSDs in RAID 0 maintain excellent performance, and the games come to life on the 17.3-inch IPS FHD display with 144 Hz and NVIDIA® G-SYNC® technology equipped on the new Helios 700.
Predator Helios 300 – Powerful and well equipped
Now available with the latest 10th generation Intel Core H processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 overclockable graphics processor with Max-Q design and a 15.6-inch, 240Hz IPS FHD display and 3 ms overdrive, the latest Helios 300 it’s as one of the most powerful and well-equipped gaming laptops that can be purchased at affordable prices. It also supports up to 32 GB of 2933 MHz DDR4 memory, two NVMe PCIe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration, and an HDD of up to 2 TB, providing the speed and storage needed for top games and movies.
Enhancing overall performance and gaming experience, DTS: X Ultra Audio delivers 360-degree surround sound to experience media content in a realistic spatial soundscape. With headphones, it offers an authentic, realistic audio experience and has specially adapted sound modes that have been optimized for different game genres (strategy, RPG, or FPS).
Predator Triton 300 – Ideal for gamers and content creators
Powerful and extremely slim, the Predator Triton 300 gaming notebook has been upgraded to include a 10th generation Intel Core H processor, NVIDIA graphics up to GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q design and a display refresh rate of 240 Hz. The 15.6-inch IPS FHD screen also offers a response time of 3 ms, a brightness of 300 nits, and supports 100% of the sRGB color space, which makes it ideal for both games and content creation. In addition, it supports up to three M.2 SSDs (one PCIe, two combos), offering generous storage, plus fast transfer rates and the speed desired by any player.
Three heat pipes have been added to the advanced thermal design of the device, which also includes a dual-fan cooling system (with generation 4 AeroBlade 3D metal fan), CoolBoost ™ technology, and strategically placed intake and exhaust ventilation. All these performances are housed in a thin and light metal chassis, which has a thickness of only 19.9 mm and a weight of 2.1 kg, for increased mobility.
Nitro 7 – Elegant metallic design
The updated Acer Nitro 7 is a great option for gamers who want portability. Its sleek metal chassis is only 19.9 mm thick and weighs 2.5 kg, yet offers a 10th generation Intel Core H processor and graphics up to GeForce RTX ™ 2060. With up to three slots for High-speed M.2 SSDs, up to 1 TB in RAID 0 configuration, up to 32 GB 2933 DDR4 memory, Killer 26 Ethernet E2600, and Intel® Wi-Fi 6, game loading and response times are incredibly fast.
The thermal design of the new Nitro 7 includes dual fans, a design with 4 dedicated ventilation slots, and Acer CoolBoost ™ technology that can be activated in NitroSense to increase fan speed by 10% and CPU / GPU cooling by 9%. In addition to performance, the device offers a 15.6-inch non-glare IPS FHD screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 3 ms.
