Few video games have been as successful as Fall Guys in recent months. It has become the most downloaded game in Playstation Plus history and has gathered up millions of players all this time. However, this curious battle royale has to be updated often to keep the interest of users who already know the scenarios. The new season is right around the corner with a lot of new content. So, here is everything we know so far about Fall Guys Season 2.
When does Fall Guys Season 2 start?
The creators of Fall Guys took advantage of Gamescom to briefly show some news for Season 2 that could begin on October 6, according to the countdown that appears on the main character screen. If the deadlines are met, the development studio has a month to go to implement the new scenarios, minigames, skins, and other elements that they have promised in their latest posts.
Not only they thought about the content, but the company has plans to fight off the cheats that are coming in the next updates. This means that the system will be overall improved to automatically detect hackers and expel them from games to ruin the experience for other users.
Fall Guys Season 2 Content
Fall Guys is a game made up of levels where you gather up to 60 players, so the possibilities are endless. However, we already have a very clear idea of everything that will come in Season 2 of the game that we will summarize it in the following lines:
As in other games, Fall Guys has decided that Season 2 is based on a specific theme that will splash directly onto the scenarios and available skins. So they have chosen the most fantastic Middle Ages as a reference to design the new levels. The castles or medieval traps are just a few examples that will be implemented in Season 2 to give the feudal touch to the games.
New scenarios and obstacles
This theme will force us to adapt to the existing levels so that everything goes in the same direction. In a promotional trailer, they already showed a stage shaped like a fortress with its corresponding walls. But they also shared a concept art of an obstacle race in lava. The new scenario would trade obstacles like rollers or balls for sharp traps and spiked logs. Another element that it will be introduced is a hammer called Big Yeetus that, if it is used, can give a significant advantage in the race.
None of these changes would make sense if players don’t have new outfits. It is true that the most exclusive ones can be purchased with crowns , but there are also free costumes when leveling up with the character. This system greatly encourages users to participate and win more games. Some of the costumes that we have already seen represent knights, paladins, dragons, wizards, or witches.
Until now there were no individual races where players were forced to cooperate to keep moving forward. But with this new season, this will be implemented and players will have to drag mobile platforms and jump the fortress walls. This will make things difficult because some players will have to move these items, while others take advantage of the situation. How much can they exploit this idea on other levels? At the moment we have to wait until October to see how the new content works.
