Samsung launched a new entry-level smartphone in Indonesia: Galaxy A01 Core. As expected, this device delivers basic specifications and, consequently, a very attractive price for those consumers who do not want (or cannot) spend a lot.
The new “cheap” of the South Korean giant has a PLS LCD screen of 5.3″ with a resolution of 1480 x 720 pixels and 18.5: 9.
Inside, we have the 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6739 processor with PowerVR GE8100 GPU. In addition, there is 1GB or 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, which is happily expandable via microSD.
Considering that we are talking about an entry device, we cannot expect to see surprising cameras. So, in the back, we have an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, while the front we can find a 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture.
To keep the Galaxy A01 Core attractive, Samsung offers a modest 3,000 mAh battery. There is no fast charging technology available, which is not surprising considering the smartphone category. In terms of software, the smartphone is equipped with Android 10 Go Edition.
Pricing and availability
In Indonesia, the Galaxy A01 Core is being sold for $74. However, Samsung has decided to run a promotion that ends tomorrow (23), offering this device for only $67.
Those interested will be able to purchase the new “cheap” of the South Korean giant in three colors: black, blue, and red.
