Apple, one of the largest companies in the world, aims to stop contributing to air pollution by 2030. The company wants to be carbon neutral at the moment. Apple's announcement comes after Microsoft announced earlier this year that it intends to remove from the atmosphere by 2050 all the carbon dioxide it has emitted in its four-decade history. The world's largest software maker will eliminate more carbon dioxide than it will emit by 2030. To achieve its goal, Apple needs to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 75%. The company announced that it has reduced CO2 emissions by 4.3 million metric tons in 2019. This means a decrease of 35% compared to 2015, the year in which Apple polluted the atmosphere the most.
