LG has launched a gaming monitor that promises an immersive experience. It’s called LG 27GN959 and is the first 4K monitor with IPS panel and 1 millisecond response time from gray to gray – GTG.

Another important feature is that it has NVIDIA G-SYNC technology. Other specifications for LG 27GN959:

“We are excited to bring NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible support to LG’s most advanced UltraGear model, ” said Kaustubh Sanghani, Vice President and CEO of GeForce OEM at NVIDIA. “Gamers will be impressed by the responsiveness and realistic visual effects when playing the latest PC games, which offer real-time ray-tracing based on GeForce technology.”

“Our latest gaming monitor delivers unmatched performance that consumers have come to expect from LG UltraGear,” said Jang Ik-Hwan, senior vice president and head of IT electronics at LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “UltraGear monitors will continue to push the boundaries of monitor technology, building on our advanced IPS 1ms GTG display technology to take gaming to even greater heights.”

For a demonstration of technology as the new LG monitor is intended, I initially thought that 27 inches make it a bit small. Don’t get me wrong, but most top monitors are already over 30-32 inches. Then I realized that LG is addressing enthusiasts who make a setup of several monitors, not one. There LG 27GN959 points to versatility through pivoting, connectivity, G-Sync from NVIDIA.
